yorkiepassion - The Birth of a "Miracle"

We are pleased to announce our little Miracle Baby Girl
Sire: JJ  - Dam: Hannah
Born  November 19, 2007

"Kings Legend I Believe In Miracles"

NOT available for adoption

Lil Miracle was not conceived by undersized parents but born premature at 57 days (most puppies are born average 60-63 days those born before the 58th day will most likely be too young to survive) She was born via c-section, the vet was shocked, giving her very slight odds of survival.  She had been born without hair and very thin skinned but despites these odds she had a very strong will to live.

Lil' Miracle being so preemie was not able to suckle, we needed to build her strength by syringe feeding every hour for the first week, every two hours for the second week.

Her mom Hannah, had a standard c-section but suffered from a serious drug reaction (prescribed by the vet for prevention of infection) A canine red blood cell count should be average 45, because of the drugs Hannah's red cell count fell to 4, needing 2 emergency live dog blood transfusions.  Despite our vets advice (we suspected a drug reaction the vet didn't think it was possible) we went with our gut stopping all prescribed drugs, by day 12 we had a miraculous turn around.

Had it not been the love and support of our very special friends we may have lost them both but...today both are doing wonderful and Lil Miracle is thriving.

Lil Miracle is now being fostered by our mom "Kings Legend Mercedes" Mercedes has taken this little one on as her own along with her 4  boys Lil Miracle is now growing like a weed, making up for lost time, she thinks she hit the milk motherload:)
